Jonny had taken off to Holland for the weekend so Shane and I decided to hijack his boat to go sailing! Conditions were perfect... actually it was a brilliantly sunny day and there was no wind - we got a max sailing speed of 2.6 knots... we were hardly going to be ripping any sails! In saying that we did manage to hit the bottom... twice... incredibly low tides it would seem and the marina entrance is a little tricky - dont worry Jonny we can point out the tricky spots quite clearly now!
Anyway after a morning of bobbing around the ocean (we couldnt do much more than bob with no wind) we joined later in the day by other friends which we picked up from the marina before heading out to park just off the beach by Brighton Pier. Fat Boy Slim was playing a concert for 25,000 on the beach. Being moored just off the beach gave us a great view, we had our own dance party on the boat... with snacks and booze at the ready! Fantastic!
We headed back into the marina after the concert finished and had more drinks with the neighbours and partied on the super yacht before hitting the hay! Seven of us tucked up in the Double Bruyn was cosy but plenty of fun! Cant wait to head out again... Anyway here are some more photos....
