A Kiwi Christmas!

Well one thing about a Kiwi Christmas is that there is no concerns about being snowed in! Our biggest issue was having enough room in the car for all of the beer, nappies and chrissy presents, luckily Shane has a truck! Well we are now at the bach in Coromandel and soaking up the sunshine and getting in a little fishing! Our first xmas home has been a pretty chilled out affair with all of the focus on Quinn as you can imagine.

So I believe an update is in order on what we have been doing in the last couple of months! We have moved to Raglan on the west coast of NZ. Shane has a contract working on the Meridian Wind Farm project. He is flat out and working some long hours but loving it. Quinn and I are chilling out in Raglan being beach bums... he might be a little young still for a surf board but he is already appreciating the beach- haha!

Christmas this year has seen a lot of firsts for Quinn, this week alone has seen him have his first xmas, he started to roll over earlier in the week and is becoming more mobile and he also has started on solids.... the excitement I tell you! Quinn is getting so big and is weighing in at a mighty 6.6kgs now.
The bach is awesome and a purchase we are pretty pleased with. My ever so handy father has done a few renovations, added another room, moved around some windows/ranchsliders etc and so we have an awesome suntrap these days with 4 bedrooms! Room for plenty of guests, nice!

So our plan for the next little while is to hang out in Coromandel and get in a bit of fishing and more beach time! Shane heads back to work after new years but we will probably stay on up here as long as the weather holds out! So feel free to pop in for a visit if you are in the neighbourhood, we have plenty of room!
